D.O. is back with his fourth mini-album ‘Dopamine’. We’re super stoked and very curious, so let’s dive right in!
Dopamine
‘Sing it loud’ starts off the album with some pop rock and as it “captures the feeling of running freely across a wide-open meadow.” I love this feel-good, sing-along moment as it will leave you feeling positive and hopeful for the future. I can only imagine how fab this would be during a concert.
With ‘Dancing Party’ we go for a an uptempo pop rock moment that blends guitars and a solid beat. This one is a lot of fun and begs you to start shimmying along.
‘Guitarist’ is our title track of this album. We’re going groovy with some Soul and R&B mixed with uptempo guitars and a catchy chorus. I love the progression and the layers of the instrumentals.
‘Don’t You’ is an uptempo pop track with fantastic guitars and bass, especially the latter one you can feel really deep in your gut. I love this!
The closing track is ‘Dear’ and brings some piano into the mix. This ballad is lovely, beautiful and has an amazing build-up.
Overall ‘Dopamine’ is a very aptly named album by D.O., this was a lovely listen!
