The girlies from KiiiKiii are back with new music in their third EP, ‘WhyKiiiKiii‘. Since their debut, the group has been conquering the charts and rapidly growing in popularity. ‘Ever2Late!‘ kicks off the release with a house and dance-pop mix. The rhythm immediately goes off, driven by a vibrant arrangement that allows the members’ vocals to shine while setting an energetic tone for the EP.
Next up, ‘Hey Hi‘ delivers major club anthem energy with a dope EDM and house-pop mix. The slick synths and subtle disco influences turn this into a delightful listen, while the fantastic build-up and refreshing composition keep the track exciting from beginning to end.
The title track, ‘Pop Off Pop Off‘, follows with an EDM synth-pop bop that carries an alternative edge perfectly suited to KiiiKiii’s concept. Its edgy sound remains effortlessly cool and smooth, while the creative sectioning and build-up are major highlights. The song moves from an early-2000s-inspired pre-chorus into a trendy EDM hook, creating a dynamic listening experience from start to finish. The music video complements the track perfectly, adding even more personality to the release.
‘SWEET SOUR‘ takes things in a slightly different direction, channeling the feeling of a ’90s bop with a distinctly K-pop twist. The track feels polished and refined, with charming ad-libs, melodic rap, and a smooth, stylish flow that makes it particularly enjoyable.
Adding even more contrast is ‘Candy Pink Magic Hole Flip Phone‘. The hyperpop influence comes through loud and clear, with textured synths and a strong Y2K aesthetic. It’s a seriously hip track, and we could absolutely see this one being played at a rave.
The EP reaches its conclusion with ‘Blue Hour‘, bringing the release back toward pop while maintaining the edginess that defines much of the project. The heavy bassline, beat drops, and transitions take center stage, while the gradually evolving sectioning builds momentum throughout the song and turns it into an epic finale.
