[R&B Gem] RYUL

In this edition of our R&B Gem, we want to talk about a singer who has steadily become a regular in our R&B playlist rotation. With a sound that keeps evolving from release to release, let’s dive into RYUL’s discography.

Park Hyeong-ryul, better known as RYUL, officially debuted in 2025 under Cosm with the single ‘OMW’. He kicked off his career with an EDM-driven R&B sound, combining smooth vocals, rhythmic rapping, and polished production. It was a strong debut that immediately caught our attention.

RYUL followed up his debut in March 2025 with his second single, ‘BAD GUY’, delivering another trendy and effortlessly smooth listen.

He kept the momentum going with ‘Oxygen’ and ‘It’s Alright’, two releases that continued expanding his sound while showcasing his ability to move between different moods and styles.

First EP

RYUL closed out his debut year with his first EP, ‘Paradox’. The project brought together some of his previously released singles with new tracks and collaborations featuring drewboi and Moon Sujin.

The result was a well-rounded debut EP that felt like the perfect conclusion to his first year in the industry. It also gave us a better idea of just how much potential RYUL has as an artist.

A New Side of RYUL

RYUL kicked off 2026 with ‘Yeonnam-dong’ featuring Chan, and this release immediately showed us a different side of the artist.

Moving away from the more electronic sound of his earlier releases, this acoustic track introduced a much more vulnerable approach to his vocals, complemented by beautiful guitar instrumentation. It felt intimate and refreshing, proving that RYUL isn’t afraid to explore new territory.

His next release, ‘Problem’ featuring Kim Seungmin, continued in this direction. The track is another incredibly smooth listen and feels like a natural continuation of the mood established by ‘Yeonnam-dong’, while also marking the beginning of a new chapter in RYUL’s sound.

He continued building on this new sound with ‘POV’, further showing how comfortably he can move between polished R&B production and more intimate, melodic moments.

Latest Releases

RYUL’s latest releases are the singles ‘Sign’ and ‘Fire Tree’, continuing his exploration of different sounds while maintaining the smoothness that first caught our attention.

In a relatively short time, RYUL has already shown a clear willingness to experiment with his sound. From EDM-driven R&B and rhythmic rap to acoustic instrumentation and more vulnerable vocals, every new release adds another layer to his growing discography.

RYUL is definitely an artist we’re keeping an eye on, and we’re excited to see where he takes his music next. In the meantime, dive into his discography and make sure to follow him on Instagram for updates, new releases, and more.
