The boys from Stray Kids are back to stun with their latest mini-album ‘THIS & THAT’. We’re super stoked, so let’s take a closer look at this comeback!
THIS & THAT
We start off with the pre-released ‘RUN IT’. This is an iconic anthem that will leave you with your head held high and the full belief that you’ll make it in the world.
Next up is their title track ‘This & That’. What a cool track! This feels like quite a fresh sound for Stray Kids. I like how they’re still experimenting with their sound.
‘After You’ sounds like a 2010s radio hit with its progressive House. Honestly, the chorus gave me major flashbacks to my youth. I liked the addition of the guitars and the overall progression.
With ‘FARMING’ we’re going high energy with a crazy pacing and crazier instrumentals. Listening to this is a wild ride, but that pre-chorus is insanely catchy.
‘I Do’ brings in the rock sound. In the album description they write: “As we coolly shout out the catchy hook that anyone can easily sing along to, we will be able to empathize with each other, overcome challenges together, and gain the strength to move forward!”
Next up is ‘Way Out’ which is an acoustic hip-hop track that follows a break-up. We’re getting cold language, but warm instrumentals. It’s an interesting duality!
After that comes ‘Back Then’. This is an easy listening track with a beautiful melody and a warm message.
The closing track is the Festival Version of the title track.
