Youth : Epilogue
The title track, ‘ECHO‘, kicks off the EP on a groovy and infectious note. Driven by a bouncy rhythm and a vibrant arrangement, the song captures a nostalgic early-2000s energy while still feeling fresh and modern. The track flows effortlessly, creating a fun and engaging listening experience from start to finish. ‘BETTER DAYS‘ follows with lovely guitar instrumentals and melodic rhythms that immediately create a warm and uplifting atmosphere. Leaning into a dreamy soundscape, the track blends beautiful vocals with cool rap sections, resulting in a lighthearted and comforting listen that feels both refreshing and hopeful.
Hip-hop influences and live-band instrumentals take center stage in ‘BOYS IN THE BAND‘. The groove throughout the track is incredibly captivating, while the vocals shine through impressive harmonies, a standout bridge, and excellent vocal layering. Combined with its well-placed ad-libs, the song delivers one of the EP’s most memorable moments.
Closing the release is ‘Call It Love‘, a heartfelt rock ballad that adds another layer of diversity to the project. The song showcases EPEX’s vocal strengths through stunning harmonies and emotional delivery. The vocal stacking is particularly impressive, while the passion behind the lyrics elevates the track into a powerful and satisfying finale for both the EP and the ‘Youth’ series as a whole.
