The boys from NEXZ are back with their latest single album ‘Mmchk’. With this “they declare the ‘NEXZ Way’—a commitment to setting their own standards instead of fixed frameworks, and making free choices instead of familiar rules.”
The single album contains three tracks. There’s the Korean and English versions of ‘Mmchk’ and the track ‘HYPEMAN’.
‘Mmchk’ is the title track and it is an unbelievably fun one! The layering was great and I loved the unexpected progression of the pre-chorus and chorus. It’s groovy, fun and a total earworm.
The track ‘HYPEMAN’ was written by Yuki and Tomoya. They’re saying”I will become your HYPEMAN so you can shine again when you are having a hard time.” with this track. It samples a Swedish folk song and with the 8-bit sounds they created a very fresh vibe.
