[Review] Stray Kids – DO IT

The boys from Stray Kids are back with their latest mini-album ‘DO IT’. We’re super stoked so let’s take a closer look!

DO IT

We start off with the title track ‘Do It’. It’s a reggaeton based pop track with a very intense energy. They’re saying “Don’t hesitate, trust your instincts at the moment and do it boldly!” which is honestly pretty fun, even if it reminds me of the Shia LaBoeuf meme from a while back.

The second title track is ‘DIVINE’. This is a boombap based hip-hop track. I’m absolutely digging the different samples in the instrumentals. Stray Kids always create incredible rap tracks, so it’s no surprise that the rap verses are also super solid with an oldschool flair to it.

Next up is ‘Holiday’. This is an interesting two-step blend of synths and samples. I liked the electronica edge of the Christmas-like twinkle. It’s a fun listen and gives a burst of energy!

‘Photobook’ is a rock ballad with a nice blend of synths and piano. The melody here is lovely and the song contains their sincerity as they promise eternity to the listener by recalling fond memories. I also love the vocals, they’re absolutely beautiful.

The closing track is the Festival Version of ‘Do it’.
