The EP opens with ‘Intro.‘, a cinematic track that blends EDM and hip-hop elements to create a sleek and immersive opener. Right from the start, the song establishes the experimental and refined atmosphere of this new era while effortlessly drawing listeners into the project.

The title track, ‘TOP 5‘, introduces a brand-new sound for ZEROBASEONE. The single feels sleek, confident, and undeniably charismatic, pairing sharp vocal and rap delivery with a hook that hits hard from the very first listen. The vocal layering and ad-libs are especially smooth, adding depth and texture to the production. The song only becomes more impactful through its music video, where the members showcase stunning visuals and impressive performance skills.

V for Vision‘ follows with smooth R&B instrumentals that immediately add a sensual atmosphere to the EP. The falsettos and fluid vocal flow are standout elements here, while the harmonies and ad-libs elevate the track even further. Altogether, the song delivers a polished and immersive listening experience that feels effortlessly captivating.

Co-written by Gunwook, ‘Customize‘ takes over with a darker, noir-inspired vibe. The pop-rock direction feels fresh within ZEROBASEONE’s discography and reveals a more mature and refined side of the group. The members absolutely deliver on the track’s edgy atmosphere, while Gunwook’s contribution as a songwriter adds an even more personal touch to the release.

We then transition into house-inspired sounds with ‘Exotic‘. Built around an addictive beat and smooth vocal layering, the song fully embraces dance-house energy. The progression and sectioning throughout the track feel seamless, and we especially loved the strategic use of pauses as a build-up element that amplifies the song’s impact.

Changes‘ brings the EP back into R&B territory with a sound that feels both retro-inspired and subtly jazzy. The group fully leans into sensual and atmospheric vibes here, while the evolving vocal tones and progression keep the song dynamic from start to finish. The instrumentals elevate the track beautifully, especially through the piano arrangements and breathtaking harmonization from the members.

Closing the release is ‘Zero To Hundred‘, ending the EP on an energetic dance-pop note. The synth work throughout the track immediately stands out, while the combination of vocal delivery, rap sections, and dynamic progression makes for a powerful finale. It is an impactful and satisfying way to close the mini-album.

With ‘π˜Όπ™¨π™˜π™šπ™£π™™-‘, ZEROBASEONE successfully opens the door to a bold new chapter in their career. The EP feels cohesive, polished, and refreshingly mature while still fitting perfectly within the group’s already impressive no-skip discography.
