[Review] WJSN – SEQUENCE

The girls from WJSN are back with their new mini-album ‘SEQUENCE’. This comes fresh after their participation to ‘Queendom 2‘ where they wowed audiences with their stages.

SEQUENCE

The mini starts off with the title track ‘SEQUENCE’ which is a fun, dark summer pop track. I really dig the synths and bass. I wanna go clubbing to this track. The vocal lines are amazing, they really popped off with the high notes and ad-libs. I am in love.

The girls all look like mermaids. I can’t get over the stunning make-up looks.

After that comes the track ‘DONE’. Member Exy co-wrote and co-composed the track. This is such a vibe! The deep house bass is absolutely fantastic. The synths they added make for an intense listening experience. I really like how they layered the track. It feels well-balanced and they added interesting little tweaks to make it even more enjoyable.

The closing track is ‘Stronger’ which is sung by members Dawon and Yeonjung. This beautiful R&B ballad is lovely. The vocals are insane and give me major end-of-concert vibes.

On the physical album there is also the track ‘AURA’ they performed for ‘Queendom 2’.

WJSN really did a fantastic job with the tracks on this mini ‘SEQUENCE’. I’m very happy that they’re reaching a bigger audience thanks to the series.

You can listen to the mini-album here and if you’d like to check out their previous comeback, you can find that here.
