[Review] The Plot

We’re back with a new K-movie review and this time we watched the 2024 film ‘The Plot’. Let’s take a closer look!

‘The Plot’ was written and directed by Lee Yo-Sub who also worked on the 2016 film ‘Queen of Crime’.

The plot

We follow our main lead Young-Il, played by Gang Dong-won who is the head of a small team of contract killers. They’re specialised in a very specific type of murder, where each death looks like an accident, whether it’s a car crash or a building collapse.

His team consists of Jackie, played by Lee Mi-Sook, Wol-Cheon, played by Lee Hyun-Wook and Jeom-Man (Tang Joon-Sang).

Their current contract might have more twists and turns then expected as Young-Il notices they might become the hunted instead of the hunters.

I don’t want to give away too much of the plot so as to not spoil the movie, so I’ll leave it at that.

Overall

This is a pretty solid crime thriller and has some really convincing performances. I really enjoyed the tension build-up and the cinematography.

‘The Plot’ is one tense ride and definitely worth a watch if you’re a fan of the genre.
