[Review] Romanced

In the K-drama world, getting the K-drama blues is a rather common situation, we all get hung up on the story, characters, and feelings of some dramas, and one of the best ways to move on is watching short and easy-to-watch dramas.

For today’s review, we are sharing a web-drama with a straightforward storyline, a classic K-drama trope, and good acting. Let’s talk about ‘Romanced’.

Starring Kim Ye Eun as Shim Bim and Kim Je Won as Jung Ma Ro, ‘Romanced’ tells the story of college students in the Theatre faculty and the drama of their love life.

Shin Bom is a Theatre major student who is part of an indie film prepared by her secret boyfriend Choi Si Hoon (Choi Si Hun) and the fellow student Yang Bo Ra (Kwak Ye Heon).

Shin Bom is the main character of this production and the main lead is Ma Ro, while rehearsing their lines she notices that some of the scenes are similar to private moments she’d had with Si Hun. She starts becoming suspicious about his relationship with Bo Ra.

However, when she confronts her secret boyfriend, he denies everything. Her doubts continue to grow, and she will do everything to find out the truth.

Friends to lovers

With just eight short episodes, ‘Romanced’ shows romance and drama. There are plot twists and a lot of angst.

The relationship between the characters feels like a dating reality show with plenty of drama, lies and secret agendas.
