[Review] ONF – ONF: My Identity

The boys from ONF are back with their new album ‘ONF: My Identity’. We’re beyond stoked that we get new music from them, so let’s dive right in!

ONF: My Identity

We start off with the title track ‘The Stranger’. We’re going for FUNK with this title track. I absolutely love the ascending vocal line in the chorus and the scatting is such a vibe. The bass guitar is popping off like crazy and honesty this is just brilliant.

The vocals – as expected – are outstanding and I love their layered harmonies so much.

‘Night Tale’ follows that with electro funk and really cool retro synths. Another track with outstanding vocals and just a sick beat.

Next up is ‘Nothing but a stranger’ by the ON team, aka the vocal unit consisting of Hyojin, E-TION, Min Gyun. We’re going for soft R&B with this one. I like the piano in this one a lot, it’s really going places. The vocals are just super warm and clear.

The OFF team comes next with ‘Anti Hero’. Seungjun, WYATT and U bring us a blend of trip hop and rock. It’s honestly super rad. This is such a powerful track. I can’t wait to blast this in my car. The bridge is crazy and I’m obsessed.

‘Good Place’ follows along with a combination of Dance and House and a flute thrown in. This is such a moment, I love this! What a fun track.

The closing track is ‘Collab’. This track is one expressing their love for the fans on top of a Bossa Nova rhythm. It’s adorable, it’s fun and has a lot of bouncy energy.
