Lee Jin Hyuk is back with his fourth mini-album ‘Ctrl+V‘. Through this album the singer-songwriter is showing a new side of himself as an artist (MELON description), and we are curious to listen to what surprises he is bringing with the music in this release.

Let’s check the tracks.

Ctrl+V

This mini-album kicks off with the title track ‘Work Work‘, this single has a very catchy rhythm and a charming and cute style. It has a bit of a playful feeling that makes it really enjoyable to listen to. The music video is adorable, I loved the set and the colour palette, and the choreography is super cool. Watch it below.

With a fantastic instrumental arrangement we get ‘Bang all night‘. The trumpets, piano and rapping in this track are definitely a unique and super fun mix, and it made this song have a carefree style that I really liked.

We go onto the hip-hop track ‘Dunk!‘, for this single Jin Hyuk goes off with some great verse delivery and the beats used go hard and leave a very strong impression. The small changes in tempo between the sections are interesting and really keep this song dynamic to listen to.

BLUE MARVEL‘ follows up and for this track we get melodic rapping and a very cool EDM arrangement. There is a lot going on in this single but all of it works so well and creates a fantastic piece.

On a more chill note ‘Coffee on Sunday‘ begins with a funky and retro style. This track had me jamming to it and I really liked Jin Hyuk’s vocals in this song.

Last on this mini-album we get ‘Meaningless = Art‘, the sound in this song is amazing. There are a lot of genres mixed in small parts and together it created a one of a kind feel that gets even cooler with the rapping and vocalization. What a spectacular way to close this mini-album.

Jin Hyuk created a fantastic release full of unique beats and a fantastic sound. You can listen to this mini album here. You can check out Lee Jin Hyuk previous release here.
