[Review] Kim Sung Kyu – Won’t Forget You

Kim Sung Kyu is back with his single album ‘Won’t Forget You‘. This release is Sung Kyu’s last release under Woollim Entertainment. This release was written, co-composed and arranged by Kim Jong-wan from the band Nell.

Won’t Forget You‘ includes the singles ‘HUSH‘, ‘You‘ and ‘My day‘.

HUSH‘ serves as the title track of this single album. In this song the instrumentation mixed with synth is unexpected and amazing at the same time.

I loved how emotional Sung Kyu’s singing is in this track, it truly coveyed the longing feeling shown in the music video. Check it below.

Next on the list is ‘You‘ starting off with acoustic guitar and fantastic vocals, I loved how simple but beautiful this song is, and the backing vocals are just smooth.

Last on this release is ‘My Day‘, with and amazing vocal layering and an electronic vibe that I totally dig. The build up in some parts of the song are kinda awesome and I loved how the beat drops and the song goes all in with a summer feel. This track feels just like a celebration.

Kim Sung Kyu is ending an era with this release, and fans are looking forward too see what is next for this very talented artist.

Make sure to listen to this release here, and if you want to travel in time and get nostalgic (like us) check his work as part of Infinite here.
