The girlies from I-DLE are back with their latest mini-album ‘We Are’. They’re here to save our summer playlists, so let’s dive right in!
We Are
The album starts with the track ‘Good Thing’. It’s a rock inspired blend with some really fun synths thrown in. I really enjoyed the charisma and powerful vocals in this one.
After that comes their pre-released ‘Girlfriend’.
‘Love Tease’ is a co-composed track by Yuqi. It’s a fun disco moment with a lot of retro elements and strong, well-layered vocals. This was a really fun listen and is a total earworm.
‘Chain’ immediately has a darker vibe. This one was co-composed by Minnie, which is totally her style. The vocals were delicious in this and I really enjoyed the darker synths and slow R&B moments.
Next up is ‘Unstoppable’. This one is a groovy jazzy R&B inspired track. Miyeon co-composed this one. I absolutely love the adlibs. The vocal layering is stunning and the high notes are insane.
The closing track is ‘If you want’ which was co-written by Shuhua. This one is a ballad with a beautiful piano line and soft, gentle lyrics that are proud of you for holding on.
