[Review] Hyuna – I’m Not Cool

Hyuna is back with a brand new mini-album, and we have been looking forward to this day. ‘I’m Not Cool‘ is the title of this release, and we are thrilled to hear what this queen has released.

Let’s check it out!

I’m Not Cool

Starting off strong, the title track ‘I’m Not Cool‘ introduces listeners to this album, and what a way to start. Heavy synth and EDM take over this track and it goes off. This song suits Hyuna’s style to perfection, it’s kinda sexy, playful and extra charismatic.

The music video as expected goes as hard as the song, loaded with colours, visuals, interesting and cool sets. Watch it below.

GOOD GIRL‘ is next, this song feels like a 2nd gen release and I am loving it, the arrangement, the quirkiness and playfulness are next level. The instrumental bridge was just exquisite and I loved how over the top and well balanced this song is. A BOP!

With a lo-fi vibe ‘Show Window‘ plays, this song is more slow paced and chill, an easy listen perfect to enjoy Hyuna’s soft vocals.

Featuring DAWN, ‘Party, Feel, Love‘ starts, and I am in love with this track, the R&B feel in it is top quality, DAWN’s distorted rapping was a very interesting addition that worked flawlessly with Hyuna’s vocals in this track. This song is one of my favourite collabs done by Hyuna so far. Absolutely amazing.

Closing this mini-album we get the pre-released song ‘FLOWER SHOWER‘, and this song is still as amazing as it was when it was released in 2019. It marked Hyuna’s new beginnings and I personally loved it. Watch the MV below.

Overall, ‘I’m Not Cool‘ was a well rounded and fun mini-album. You can listen to this release in this link.
