[Review] GHOST9 – PRE EPISODE 1 : DOOR

We get another debut today with the boy group GHOST9 and their debut mini-album ‘PRE EPISODE 1 : DOOR’.

PRE EPISODE 1 : DOOR

We start off the mini with the intro ‘Vision’. The orchestra goes off in this one, it’s super cool. The EDM sounds with the grand scope of the orchestra is fantastic and I’m kind of shook.

After that we get the title track ‘Think of Dawn’ and how is this a debut?? This is insane. Everything works so well. The visuals, the vocals and the instrumentals are awesome. The pre-chorus is fantastic and I’m just really, really impressed.

‘Reborn’ is the third track of this mini. This song goes hard y’all. The synths and the samples they’re using are crazy, but the vocals had me even more shook.

Next up is ‘It’s gonna be hot’ and legit GHOST9 keeps surprising me with every single. This groovy dance track with pop rock vibes is so much fun to listen to. There’s a sudden rhythm change around 1:30 and I am so confused but like loving it at the same time.

We’re on the fifth track with ‘Lay back’. We’re going smooth R&B vibes with this one. The belting towards the end is superb.

The last single on the release is ‘Flying at night’. This is such a soft, happy little song. I like the summery synths and the general dance vibe throughout the song. Lovely!

Overall

‘PRE EPISODE 1 : DOOR’ by GHOST9 is such an impressive debut mini-album. I’m thoroughly impressed and I can’t wait to see what they do next.
