[Review] D.Ark – EP1 GENIUS

PNation’s D.Ark’s had a busy 2021, he successfully made it to the final round in ‘High School Rapper 4’, and today he is back with the EP ‘EP1 GENIUS’. This is his first comeback since his debut in 2020.

This release has some amazing collabs, so, let’s go straight into the music.

EP1 GENIUS

First on this release is the title track ‘GENIUS‘ featuring CHANGMO. Starting with a very jazzy piano riff, this song is super groovy and a fun listen. The bass in this track is on point and I was surprised with D.Ark singing in the bridge. The talent!

The music video is super fun and extra colourful. D.Ark looks like he is legit having a blast filming it. Watch it below.

Featuring Swings, ‘BAD KID‘ plays next, I really liked the EDM/bass rich composition in this song. D.Ark’s verse delivery is awesome and as expected Swings kills it too.

TRAP GODING‘ plays on and D.Ark goes off with rapping. This track has some incredible beats that reminded me a lot to old school Hip-Hop, there is a certain tension to it that just gets better with the flow and delivery of his verses. TOP QUALITY!

TRADE L and Roh yunha are featured in ‘FEEL MY FEEL‘. This trap driven track includes a very addictive bass and a super cool flute. I really liked how they complement each other so well in their verse delivery, each one has a very distinctive style, but together they are unbeatable.

Last on this release is the track ‘SCUM‘ featuring R&B singer Moon. The guitar riff gives this song an emotional feel that intensifies with Moon’s vocals and D.Ark’s rap delivery. The quality, man!

‘EP1 GENIUS’ is a well-rounded release that shows off the talent of D.Ark. Make sure to follow the career of this young talent, we are sure we will keep hearing more from him.
