[Review] BTS – PROOF

The boys from BTS are back to excel with their new album ‘PROOF’. This has been a much anticipated comeback. Let’s dive right in!

PROOF

The full album contains three CD’s and has three new tracks and has in total 48 songs. The third CD is not availble on streaming platforms apart from the last one.

The first of the three new tracks is ‘Yet to come’. This made me so emotional on the first listen. I love their harmonies and their true essence. I thoroughly enjoyed the rap verses. It shows their individual styles so well.

The music video is a major throwback to all of their previous music videos. This twitter thread shows all of the easter eggs.

The second new track ‘Run BTS’ is the hard hitting track we needed. The opening verse is super playful, and then when Yoongi starts spitting bars, I was immediately sold. This track is giving me life! The background instrumental is fire. J-Hope’s verse had me shook. Jimin’s ad-lib at the end was super nice. Also the transition into ‘Intro: Persona’ was smooth as hell.

‘For Youth’ is the closing track and also the last of the three new ones. This one is for ARMY. We open with ARMY and BTS singing ‘Forever Young’, which is literally chill-inducing. If you need a cry, go read the lyrics translation. This track is soft and wholesome and feels very balanced. The brass in the instrumentation is super dope. Everything just ties in together perfectly.

I’m absolutely in love with ‘PROOF’ by BTS. I adore the new tracks and can’t wait untill my physical copy arrives so I can obsess over the demo versions that are physical copy exclusive.

Go listen to the album on Spotify here.
