Our boys from BTOB are back with their latest mini-album ‘BTODAY’. For this comeback only the following members are involved: Seo Eun-kwang, Lee Min-hyuk, Lim Hyun-sik and Peniel. We’re super curious, so let’s take a closer look at this comeback!
BTODAY
We start off with ‘Please Stay’ which is a ballad track with a band sound. According to the album description: “it compares the longing for the other person and the question of whether or not love can begin again to a burning ‘spark’, and just like the lyrics ‘even if I’m soaked in sadness, it won’t go out, my spark is still alive.”
Next up is their title track ‘LOVE TODAY’. BTOB look like literal forest nymphs in the music video. They all look so soft and in their feels. The message of this track is just so sweet and wholesome. They’re telling us to believe in ourselves and take breaks. It’s a modern pop rock ballad.
‘Starry Night’ is a pop dance track with a disco beat and a funky bass line. This one is a lot of fun and makes you want to shimmy along. It’s adorable, it’s fun. I like this one a lot.
‘Say Yes’ is another pop dance track but this time we get dreamy synths and an incredibly catchy hook. The lyrics talk about confessing your feelings to your crush and desperately wanting them to feel the same way. This is quite frankly super sweet.
After that comes ‘Be Alright’ which brings some jazz to the album. We’re getting killer vocals, sweet harmonies and a positive message. This will instantly make you feel warm. It’s so wholesome.
The closing track of the album is ‘Hi Beautiful’. This is a synth pop track with a rock sound. Peniel’s rap verse is so sweet here. I like how airy and spacious the instrumentals are here.
