KARD’s BM is back with his new solo mini-album ‘PO:INT’. Let’s dive right in!
“Sweet temptation seeps in, and desire spreads like a fragrance. A once-pure relationship gradually loses its luster and becomes polluted. In ‘Polluted Intimacy,’ the two explore each other, becoming immersed in an inescapable whirlpool of pleasure.”
PO:INT
We start off with the title track ‘Freak’ featuring B.I. This is, according to the album description, based on the amapiano genre (a hybrid of kwaito, deep house, gqom, jazz, soul, and lounge music from South Africa). It’s a super sick track with cool beats, an effortless flow and solid rap performances by both BM and B.I.
After that comes ‘Ooh’. It takes us back to early 2000s R&B and pays homage to 50Cent’s ‘PIMP’. It’s honestly a fun throwback and makes for a nice listen.
‘View’ is a synth R&B track with a very solid beat. It’s a very soft track. “The moment their eyes lock under the spotlight, the lovers shine like muses, and soon the two become a part of a special landscape.”
Next up is ‘Move’ which is an Afrohouse track with a beat that you can’t help but dance to. The pre-chorus is catchy and you’ll be singing along in no time.
After that comes ‘Stay Mad’. Here BM pops off with agressive rapping and a lot of charisma. Straight up fire.
The closing track is the instrumental version of the title track ‘Freak’.
