2021 rookies BLITZERS are back with the second EP ‘SEAT-BELT‘. They debuted last May and surprised us with an interesting concerts and the solid vocal and rap line.
With this EP the are starting off a “new challenge” (MELON description), and we are kinda intrigued to listen were they are heading out with their music. Let’s start.
SEAT-BELT
First single in the list is ‘K-POP‘, and I must mention how adorable the description of this song in MELON, the purpose of this song is basically hoping that fans “facing pain can gain some strength and be healed by listening to K-POP”.
Music indeed is healing, and this wholesome message gets even stronger with the instrumentation in this single. They definitely started off this mini-album strong.
‘Seat-Belt‘ is next in this release, this entirely instrumental single serves as a nice transition to the title track ‘Will Make a Mistake‘, which is opposite to the intro we got.
This main track goes off with a more heavy synth/hip-hop rhythm and flow, with the addition of an electric guitar that makes it even better.
The bridge with the piano solo and the rapping was just SO GOOD, and gave this song a teenage angst vibe.
The music video is kinda cute and kinda clashes with the vibe of the song, but it is nevertheless an interesting mix, packed with killer visual and choreo. Watch it below.
‘Hop-in‘ comes along as a nice, cute and extremely good addition to this release. The trumpets and piano are SOO GOOD, and make this song kinda groovy and just ADORABLE. A wholesome listen.
An acoustic guitar welcomes listeners in ‘Love Bottle‘, and this song has a youthful and carefree feel in it that I absolutely loved. The vocals feel somehow unfiltered and it is super nice to listen to.
We get to the end of this mini-album with the ballad ‘Rain Drop‘, the instrumentals, vocals and the full core of this track is super comforting to listen to, wholesome from start to end.
BLITZERS really did a splendid job with this EP. The songs were carefully crafter and created a very cute, interesting and also wholesome narrative. Fans can go into different moods with this release and it is truly especial.
