[Review] BAE173 – INTERSECTION: BLAZE

The guys from BAE173 are back with a brand new EP, ‘INTERSECTION: BLAZE‘. This is their third mini-album and a continuation of their series ‘INTERSECTION‘. For this release Dohyun participated in the writing, composing and producing.

Let’s check the music in this mini-album.

INTERSECTION: BLAZE

The intro ‘Runnin’‘ starts this EP with heavy hip-hop beats an excellent rap flow. Dohyun took over in this track and delivered an awesome track full of personality and a cool sound.

Next up is ‘Annoyed‘ a single with house music influence and a touch of pop. The piano riff in the song overpowers the rest of the track and it is almost at the same level of the vocals. This added quite an interesting touch, not very common one but nevertheless super cool.

The title track ‘JAWS‘ follows up with powerful beats and a hype style. The mix of beats and layering in this song is awesome. This track pure energy and it just get better and better as it develops. The bridge is awesome and I really liked the structure and power in this song.

For the music video we basically get a performance video with a very tight choreography, excellent lighting, incredible outfits and camera work. Check it below.

I’m Not Alone‘ comes along on the softer side with a bright melody and serious anime OST vibes. I found this song rather cute and I absolutely loved the vocals, ad-libs and harmonies in it. It is just super sweet. Last on this release in the instrumental version of ‘JAWS’.

BAE173 did a fantastic job with this mini-album ‘INTERSECTION: BLAZE’. It is fun to listen to and each song has a unique feel and style. Make sure to listen to this release here.
