[Review] ATEEZ – GOLDEN HOUR : Part.5

The boys from ATEEZ are back with their latest mini-album ‘GOLDEN HOUR : Part.5’ which is, as you might have guessed, their fifth installment of the ‘Golden Hour’ series.

We start off the EP with their title track ‘BAD’. This is such a fun listen! It’s catchy, funny, feels fresh and focuses on Brazilian Funk.

We’re going for a Latin Trap sound with ‘MAMACITA’. I’m obsessed with the piano melody and old-timey vibe. The brass is fantastic as well. In the album description they wrote this: “The heart cast out without hesitation burns more intensely than anything else.”

‘TOXIN’ brings an R&B moment to this mini-album. We’re getting a nice beat and a great combination of rap and vocals, which is honestly what they’re known for at this point.

‘Fallin” brings out the EDM. “the song unhesitatingly portrays the sensation of being completely consumed by the other person and uncontrollable emotions that cannot be stopped no matter how hard one tries.”

The closing track is ‘Body’. This mid-tempo R&B ballad is a lovely softer moment and a great way to close such a fun and hype album.
