For this week’s Offstage we’re taking a closer look at the graphic design studio Sparks Edition. Even if you don’t know who they are, you might know some of their works. So keep on reading!
Sparks Edition
The graphic design studio consists of the duo Jang Joon-oh, A Ji-hye. They work together to create some beautiful designs. There’s a variety of different media. They create paintings, sculptures, graphic designs for brand identity, albums and many more.
For this feature I wanted to put the focus on their album designs. They’ve created some truly iconic images for groups we love dearly. Let’s take a closer look!
They created the album cover of ‘Psychedelic Weather’ for producer OTAKHEE in 2015.
Jang Beom June assigned them the album art for his second full-length album.
Sparks Edition also created this stunning work for ELO and his release ‘8 femmes’.
In 2017, they made these amazing covers for the indie band 3rd Line Butterfly.
