We’re back with a new Offstage and this time we’re taking a look at make-up artist Oh Seong Seok whose talent is stunning, innovative and otherworldly.
Oh frequently collaborates with photographer Cho Gi-Seok who we’ve featured on The K M.E.A.L. before. Part of what made these images go viral is because of the make-up, which was created by Oh Seong Seok.
Oh Seong Seok decided to become a make-up artist at sixteen. And studied make-up at the MBC Makeupforever Academy in Seoul. According to an interview with Kinfolk: “I didn’t like the standardized aesthetics that I was asked to follow as a makeup artist. I didn’t think it was beautiful. On the other hand, people said that my work, which I felt was beautiful, was coarse and scary.”
