Ode To The Artist: Sondia

We’re back with a brand new Ode To The Artist and this time we’re talking about Sondia. To start off, I should probably explain why I used an OST cover for the header picture. Sondia is a mystery. There’s no page that 100% confirms who she is so I feel like I’m writing about smoke here.

Some sources claim that this is her Instagram but I can’t really confirm that, though people in the comments of her pictures seem to think so. However according to this website, her real name is Son Min-Kyung.

Here’s what I do know for sure, Sondia came onto the scene in 2018 with her first OST ‘Grown Ups’ for the K-Drama ‘My Mister’. Everyone was blown away by her vocals and the quite frankly tragic song. That was the start and since then she’s become an OST Queen.

She’s sung OSTs for ‘The Secret Life Of My Secretary’, ‘Itaewon Class’, ‘Extraordinary You’, and more.

Last year, she supplied her vocals for the series ‘When The Devil Calls Your Name’ for the character Kim I-gyeong.

Now whoever Sondia may be, she has a golden voice. I really hope she keeps singing OSTs because the drama world wouldn’t be the same without her. If she wants to remain out of the spotlight, that’s totally her right. We’ll just be crying/jamming to her OSTs in the meantime.

Here is her Spotify profile.
