For this week’s feature of MV Rec I really wanted to feature Simon Dominic’s video for ‘Demolition Man’. Technically it isn’t really a music video. It’s more like a live performance but I thought that I wouldn’t do it the honor it deserves if I put it in my top 3.
He is joined by the rock singer Kim Jong-seo who adds to the emotion. Dear God his vocals are amazing.
‘Demolition Man’ is raw, on a visceral level. When I heard this for the first time and, bless the captions really. I felt like I had all my guts exposed. Like everything was out for the world to see.
I can only imagine what Simon Dominic himself felt when he presented this to the world.
If you’re going through a rough patch, you can watch this and you know immediately that you’re not alone in your pain even if he almost shouts that ‘you can never feel my pain’. I hope you like ‘Demolition Man’ by Simon Dominic as much as I do.
