Mini Album Review: Sechskies – All For You

All For You’ is Sechskies first mini album since they debuted in 1997, and before I start this review, I just have to warn all the readers “get ready for some emotional whiplash”.

The EP kicks off with its title track ‘All for You’ and this ballad is full of flawless vocals. Its low tempo rhythm and the inclusion of the saxophone gives this song a special vibe. The MV is so pretty, I loved the colours and the entire concept. Check it out.

Dream’ is second in this release, this song has a more soft electronic-pop that I totally dig.

Meaningless’ follows it with a more upbeat rhythm that totally lightens the mood of this album. I couldn’t find the translation for the lyrics of this song, but I just feel like they are likely to be ‘sad times’ despite its tempo.

Fourth in this extended play is ‘Round and Round’, a pop track with great vocals and an up-beat rhythm that’s super fun to listen to.

Last on this mini album we have ‘Walking In The Sky’ and I felt like it was the perfect closure for this release. The vocals and rapping are amazing as usual. It felt like the cherry on top for ‘All For You’ and it is also my favourite track on this EP.

Sechskies is a first generation idol group that has remained active and was able to adapt themselves to the trends without losing that special touch that has characterised their career. I’m looking forward to see what’s next for this veteran group.
