March is over and we’re finally able to take a look at the K-INDIE CHART, to discover who’s back, who’s left and who’s new. Let’s dive right in!

We’re seeing a lot of familiar faces in this month’s chart.
Though Band Nah has been on quite a few charts, they’ve never been on it with ‘CLOVER part 2’ which is their album collection of most of the track on the different ‘Clover’ parts. This album also celebrates their 10-year anniversary.
The same goes for PEPPERTONES, they’re also frequent inhabitors of the monthly chart, but this is the first time they’re charting with ‘Sounds Good’ which came out in 2009.
Broccol, you too? is charting with their 2024 album ‘We all know we will fail’. They also seem to pop up here and there.
Thornapple is snagging two spots with their albums, which is pretty impressive. SURL is charting with their 2024 release ‘XYRUP’. The Black Skirts are steady additions to the list, as are Choi Yu Ree and HYKOH.
Band Nah – Clover
On the album we get eight tracks: ‘Footsteps’, ‘Falling’, ‘Road’, ‘Here I am’, ‘Desk’, ‘Friends’, ‘Clover’ and ‘:00’. The first four tracks were on the mini-album ‘CLOVER Part 1.5’ while the rest are new additions.
‘Desk’ is a funky rock track with interesting samples thrown in. I liked the guitars in this a lot!
‘Friends’ is a bit slower and tells the story that “even the sadness and pain of the present will become friends and move forward together.” I really enjoyed the progression of the track and the vocal layering.
After that comes their title track ‘CLOVER’. It’s a super fun and cute track that uplifts the spirit and with the addition of the brass creates such a nice ambience.
The album closes off with ‘:00’. It brings back the theme of [:59], which was the intro track of [CLOVER Part 0.5], and declares that even in the uncertainty of that time, they will now move forward to tomorrow. The past melodies of Na Sang-hyun’s band, which lead to the guitar solo in the latter half of the song, wrap up the album by wrapping up the 10 years of Na Sang-hyun’s band.”
