January Korean Indie DisKovery

It’s the start of February, so we took a look back at our favorite Korean indie releases of the month January. So let’s dive in!

Week 1

HANRORO is back with the brilliant ‘The last stop of our pain’.

Spotify

Choi Su-In released ‘Tomorrow’s with you’. This is giving me uplifting movie soundtrack where the heroine finds purpose. It’s honestly super cathartic.

Spotify

Han Grin came out with the track ‘Far Away’. Her vocals are super lovely and I love the way the harmonies are layered.

Spotify

Week 2

Goosedown released the cool track ‘Cannibal’. It reminds me of the style of the band Muse, so I was immediately hooked.

Spotify

FRIDA-ANNE came out with the great ‘BURN-OUT’. This is such a cool track. It has a bit of R&B and a bit of pop with a dash of electric guitars.

Spotify

Woman Human came out with the hella cool ‘crispy, cream no sugar’. The way that I am obsessed with this track! The vocals are sick and the guitars dirty, it’s absolutely amazing!

Spotify

Week 3

H.M. Moon released the super soft ‘The Dreamer’s Sweet Dream’. The entire album is fantastic.

Spotify

ReMidas released the wonderful track ‘A new of new song’. Traditional Korean instruments in a contemporary jacket.

Spotify

DRAWMODE came out with ‘My Dearest’. This is so soothing! Their vocals match so well.

Spotify

Week 4

Kim Mok-ha came out with ‘Love’ featuring Baek Seo-Hyeon. Soft vocals and soft instrumentation are perfectly combined.

Spotify

Moskva Surfing Club came out with the trippy ‘Wish it were a dream’.

Spotify

Leeheesang dropped the pre-release of his new album ’HOWEVER’. ‘Venti Girl’ is a cool rock track.

That’s it for this January Korean Indie DisKovery. I hope you discovered some new gems to treasure. Let me know what your favorite releases were!
