[Indie Pick] PICTIONS

We’re back with a new Indie Pick, this time about the band PICTIONS. If you like warm, indie folk mixed with some rock, definitely keep on reading.

Debut

PICTIONS debuted in 2016 with the titular single album. The title track ‘can’t take me home’ is groovy and definitely has some alt rock influences. The guitars are really cool.

In 2018 they came back with four singles. There were ‘ 세상 가장’ and ‘Symbols’. This is one of the very few live stages I could find.

They also released ‘Child’ and ‘Earlier than I thought’.

In 2019 they released ‘Melt in ocean’ which is such an incredible track. It’s soft, warm and has a beautiful music video that just creates a zen moment.

The lyrics are incredibly heart warming.

“If on that vast ocean,
you’re sleeping by yourself,
even if I don’t know how to swim,
I’ll go and wake you up
Don’t worry too much”

Lyrics ‘Melt in ocean’

PICTIONS also released the single ‘Flower Seeds’.

‘Isle’ which came out in 2020 is such an interesting track. The music video has a super cool animated art style.

That year they also released two singles and their very first EP ‘2005’.

They recently released a remastered version of ‘Stairway of Night’ on their Soundcloud here

Last year PICTIONS released the EP ‘in your blue’.

Their most recent comeback was the single ‘How do you feel’. This track has some lovely horns in the instrumentation.
