We’re back with a new Indie Pick and this time we’re writing about CHEEZE.
The group
Originally CHEEZE started off as a quartet. The members were Yasu, Moodi, Cloud and Dalchong. Cloud and Moodi were in charge as producers, Yasu was in charge of the rap and Dalchong was the vocalist.
They debuted in 2011 under RealCollabo with a Christmas song and to be honest, usually I’m not a fan, but this is a bop.
In 2013, still as a quartet, they released their first full length album, ‘Recipe’. The intro is utterly adorable.
Solo
When CHEEZE switched to the label Magic Strawberry Sound in 2016, the only member that remained was Dalchong. So she took up the mantle and became a one-woman band.
CHEEZE as we know it today, stands for soft vocals, beautiful music videos and fun songs with beautiful messages. If you want to read our review for her latest comeback, you can find that here.
There are also quite a few OSTs under her name. Think of ‘It’s okay to not be okay’, ‘Encounter’ and ‘Oh My Baby’.
You can find her on Instagram here. Go follow her and say hi! In the meantime, enjoy the lovely discography this woman has, because WOW. You can find her Spotify here.
She’s also part of the project girl group CSVC, with members Stella Jang, Park Moonchi and Lovey. They recently released a single together, you can find more about that here.
The last video I want to share with you is the video of her concert. Her vocals are beautiful and just put it on and vibe to it.

[…] CHEEZE, our indie sweetheart, is back with the new single ‘LOSER’. The single talks about comparing yourself to others, maybe a little too much and being disappointed at your own situation. Though it’s not all doom and gloom, there’s quite some cynicism towards that self-doubt which makes for an interesting listen. […]
