[Indie Pick] Bye Bye Sea

Today’s feature for our Indie Pick is Bye Bye Sea and even if you haven’t heard anything by them before, yes, you have. While I was on my little discovery I listened to this one track that gave me PTSD-style flashbacks to variety shows and a vague memory of all the K-pop meme compilations I watched.

Bye Bye Sea is a band that debuted in 2009 under Fluxus Music. Originally when they first started, they were named ‘I’m Dividing The Sea With You’ but they decided that it was a bit too long and complicated, so they changed it to the shortened Bye Bye Sea.

Currently there are only three members: Na-Moo, Woo Myung-jae and Woo Sun-jae. The two former members were Lee Joon-hyuk and Dae-hyun.

Na-Moo is in charge of vocals and also plays the guitar. Woo Myung-jae is in charge of the bass and Sun-jae plays the guitar.

Discography

Now let’s take a look at their discography. They’ve released a lot of music over the years, but I listed some of their title tracks and my personal favorites.

We’ll start with the song that you know even if you don’t know. Go to 0:36.

Their latest release is this incredibly catchy Christmas song. It’s their first release in two years.

I recommend checking out their YouTube channel if you want to check out their covers.

Here’s the link to their Instagram and their Spotify.
