We’re back with a new Indie Pick and this time we’re taking a closer look at indie singer-songwriter Azin. Azin’s sound is a bit more electronica inspired which creates an awesome effect with her warm timbre. Azin has been the vocalist for several projects like Epitone Project, Casker and Allegro.
Debut
Azin has been active in the industry since 2014 with her debut single ‘So High’.
Her title track ‘Delete’ is one of my personal favorites. This comes from her first EP ‘Developpe’ from 2015. “The title of her first album, “Developpe,” a ballet term meaning “developing” or “unfolding,” contains both her childhood when she devoted her life to dance and her firm determination to expand her new life as a musician to higher and wider places.” Azin majored in modern dance before being captivated by electronic music.
Two years later she came back with the single ‘I Still’.
That year she also released the singles ‘My Record’, ‘It’s Yours’, and ‘Your Color’.
In 2018 Azin came out with the two singles ‘In The Winter’, and ‘A picture in December’.
The year after she only released the single ‘Love’.
Her second EP ‘Shimmering’ was dropped in 2022. The title track ‘Moon’ is more of a ballad but still carries that slight touch of electronica in the audio sampler and distortion. It’s an intriguing combination that makes for a lovely listen. Honestly, this is a great track.
Azin’s most recent comeback is the single ‘Love’ featuring Montage which was released in December.
