We’re back with a brand new Indie PIck and this time we’re introducing the rock band 2 Day Old Sneakers. If you’re into garage rock, definitely stick around!
2 Day Old Sneakers
The band debuted in 2018 with the EP ‘Swindler’. At the beginning they consisted of Sim Do-eon (Vocal/Guitar), Joo Hae-seung (Guitar), Yu Ho-jin (Bass) and Kim Dong-kyung (Drums).
Two years later, in 2020, they dropped their first full-length album ‘Shoe Cabinet’.
Their second EP ‘Shines here’ came out in 2021 and they also introduced a new drummer: Son Min-wook (aka Gokoooo).
The following two years they only released the two singles ‘Robot-Man’ and ‘Cherokee’.
In 2024 they released their EP ‘Penguin Syndrome!’ Currently the line-up is as follows Shim Do-un, Son Min-wook, Kim Ga-young and Lee Ji-ho.
Their most recent comeback is the single ‘City of Grey’. I like their album description: “A gray crowd, firmly believing that warm sunshine awaits them when they go up to the ground, is lining up to take the automatic stairs. A person wearing sneakers appears among the crowd. He sits down on the ground, ties his shoelaces, and runs out into the rainy street.”
