EP Review: Kang Daniel – CYAN

Kang Daniel is back with a new extended play. And this comeback was highly anticipated by his fans. Let’s not go on any longer and dive right into this release.

CYAN

‘CYAN’ kicks off with ‘Adulthood’, a pop song with a super smooth sound. This song was released as part of his previous single ‘TOUCHIN’’, and sets the vibe for this entire release. I particularly loved the mix of different beats throughout the song, and how well they were blended with Kang Daniel’s vocals.

‘Adulthood’ is followed by the title track of this release. ‘2U’ has a more soft-pop vibe. Check out the music video because it is just adorable.

Next on the list is ‘Jealous’, and this song feels like spring. It is not as soft and low tempo as a winter song, but not as vibrant and high in energy as a summer release. It is right in the middle, making it perfect for a road trip playlist.

‘Interview’ comes next, and I was surprised by rapper Kang Daniel. Can we just state how versatile he is? This song shows the many colours of his voice and I absolutely loved that.

Last on the list, ‘TOUCHIN’’ and this song was also part of his previous release. This dance track is just super fun to listen to and the chorus is extremely catchy. The music video is basically a short movie showing off how good Kang Daniel is not just at dancing but also acting. He is multi talented and we know it.

‘CYAN’ is a release that shows Kang Daniel’s different sides, styles and his approach to music, and I cannot wait to listen to his next releases. In the meanwhile, you can listen to this EP below.
