EP Review: DreamNote – Dream Wish

DreamNote is back with their brand new EP ‘Dream Wish’. This is their first release with two of the original members missing. But that did not stop them from delivering quality content.

Let’s dive right in!

‘Dream Wish’

The first track is also the title track with accompanying music video.

Honestly ‘WISH’ is a bop. It’s funky, catchy and I love the rhythm. The music video is stunning and the choreography is really fun! Also the pink jeans jumpsuit is something that is missing in my life so I’ll just have to be on the look-out next time I go shopping.

‘Love is so amazing’ is the second song on the EP. It immediately has a different feel to it. It’s slower, with more acoustic instrumentals. The focus is really on their vocals and beautifully blended harmonies. It’s soft and is definitely being added to my playlist.

Track three is ‘Bittersweet’. First of all, WOW. Second of all that jazzy electric guitar in the background is dope. The reverb that’s added works really well. ‘Bittersweet’ is such a funky song, this might just be my favorite of the entire EP ‘Dream Wish’.

With ‘La Isla Bonita’ we bring the tempo back a bit. The term ‘tropical pop’ describes it perfectly. It’s a summer song y’all. ‘La Isla Bonita’ is a fun song with really cool instrumentals.

The last track in this release is the instrumental version of ‘WISH’. It’s fun but I prefer the one with the vocals.

‘Dream Wish’ is a really fun EP by DreamNote that surprised me if I’m being honest. I’d only ever heard ‘Hakuna Matata’. This feels like a slightly more mature concept and I think it suits the girls really well. I’ll definitely be following their musical careers.

The EP is not on Spotify yet, but here’s their profile.
