[Actor Spotlight] Go Youn-jung – A Rising Star in Korean Entertainment

Go Youn-jung began her career after graduating from university, starting out as a commercial model in 2019. That same year, she made her acting debut in the fantasy-romance drama “He Is Psychometric”, where she quickly caught the attention of viewers.

Breaking Through

In 2020, she had a memorable cameo in the quirky Netflix drama “The School Nurse Files”, followed by a notable supporting role in the apocalyptic thriller “Sweet Home”, which brought her wider recognition both in Korea and internationally.

In 2021, Go Youn-jung played a supporting role in the legal drama “Law School”, showcasing her versatility and acting depth. The following year, she made her big-screen debut in the action film “Hunt”, where she starred alongside top actors and proved her ability to hold her own in feature films.

From Cameo to Lead Role

Between 2022 and 2023, Youn-jung was cast in the fantasy drama “Alchemy of Souls”. What started as a cameo in Season 1 evolved into a lead role in Season 2, solidifying her as a bankable actress with both emotional range and charisma.

Her breakthrough came with the 2023 Disney+ drama “Moving”, where her performance was widely praised. She won the Best New Actress award at the Blue Dragon Series Awards, along with several other accolades, cementing her place among Korea’s next generation of leading actresses.

After a few cameos and special appearances, she was cast in the highly anticipated medical series “Resident Playlist”, a spin-off of the beloved “Hospital Playlist” series.

Looking ahead, she’s set to star as the female lead in the upcoming romantic drama “Can This Love Be Translated?” — a project that fans are already excited for.
