OURBIRTHDAY are finally making their official debut with their self-titled EP, ‘Our Birthday‘. A couple of weeks ago, they kicked off the hype with their pre-release singles ‘HUNGRY (Side A)’ and ‘HUNGRY (Side B)’, setting the stage for the debut of JYP Entertainment’s newest girl group.
This rookie group consists of Cho Hyejin, Kuk Chorok, Shin Hyewon, U, Baby, Achiraya, and Kilala. Let’s dive right in and check out their debut release.
Our Birthday
Kicking off the EP is ‘Our Birthday‘, delivering hip-hop vibes with a cool bassline and a groovy trumpet melody. The vocals are smooth and engaging, while the rap sections add a great contrast to the track. It makes for a strong and confident opener to the group’s debut.
The title track, ‘SQUEEZY‘, takes over with funky instrumentation and a major dose of charm. The vocal layering and harmonies are fantastic, while the overall progression feels lighthearted, cool, and incredibly fun. For the music video, the members deliver a lively performance filled with impactful energy and charming visuals that perfectly complement the song.
