We’re going all the way back to the 1960s with the film ‘Let’s Meet at Walker Hill’. If you’re in the mood for retro music, definitely stick around!
‘Let’s Meet at Walker Hill’ is a comedy from 1966 that was directed by Han Hyeong-mo. Two men from the countryside meet on the train bound to Seoul and decide to stick together to find who they’re looking for. The eldest is looking for his long lost daughter while the other one is looking for his first love who’s become a famous singer.
Together, they end up in whacky situations, it’s very much a fish-out-of-water type comedy that had me in stitches.
In the film we get some emotional scenes, but for me the highlight was the music! We get a glimpse of the vibrant music scene that was an eclectic mix of genres and styles. I absolutely loved it!
