For this edition of our R&B Gem, we’re highlighting the music of a singer we’ve been following closely since her debut. Let’s talk about the lovely Blue.D.
Before officially stepping into the industry, Jeon Hoyeon, better known as Blue.D, was already building her presence by sharing music on SoundCloud and YouTube. In 2018, she was recruited by YGX Entertainment, and officially debuted in December 2019 with the single ‘Nobody’, featuring WINNER’s Mino. The track immediately showcased her soft yet captivating vocal tone and emotional delivery.
After about a year with YGX, Blue.D parted ways with the label and chose to pursue her path as an independent artist. In 2021, she released the digital single ‘Independence’, marking a new chapter in her career and artistic freedom.
First EP
Following a short break, Blue.D returned in 2023 with her first EP, ‘The First Bloom’. The project featured three tracks that beautifully highlighted her signature smoothness and delicate vocal color, solidifying her place in the indie R&B scene.
In 2024, she continued to expand her sound with the singles ‘Marigold’ and ‘Love Pot’. Both tracks maintained her soft, soothing style while adding subtle new layers to her musical identity.
Latest Releases
In 2025, Blue.D released the single ‘Nero’, once again exploring a fresh sound while staying true to her emotional and vocal depth.
Her latest comeback is the collaborative album ‘Perfect Love’, featuring BE’O. This project stands out as a true R&B/hip-hop gem, blending smooth melodies with laid-back rap elements to create an effortlessly captivating vibe.
