For this week’s Actor Spotlight we wanted to take a closer look at Jo Yoon-hee. Let’s dive right in!
Debut
Jo Yoon-hee was first scouted as a model while shopping. It wasn’t until 1999 that she started acting with her debut being the music video for ‘I believe’ by Lee Soo-young.
Her debut on the small screen was in 2002 where she had a small role in the sitcom ‘Orange’. Jo’s film debut was in the 2003 film ‘The Last Supper’.
In 2008 she snagged her first leading roles in the film ‘Living Together, Happy Together’ as well as in the mbc drama ‘Spotlight’.
For her role in the 2010 drama ‘Golden Fish’, Jo won the MBC Best New Actress award.
‘My Husband Got a Family’, which came out in 2012, landed her the Best Supporting Actress award and the Best Couple award with Lee Hee-joon.
That year she also starred in the film ‘Traffickers’ alongside Im Chang-jung, Choi Daniel and Oh Dal-su.
She was in the series ‘Nine’ and ‘The Scandal’ in 2013.
The following three years were busy with project like ‘The King’s Face’, ‘The Con Artists’, ‘The Magician‘, and ‘Pied Piper’.
‘Luck Key’ and ‘The Gentlemen of Wolgyesu Tailor Shop’ were her projects from 2017.
The two seasons of ‘The Escape of the Seven’, the series ‘Second Shot at Love’ and the film ‘Spring Garden’ are her most recent projects.
