[Review] …ing

We’re back with a new film review and this time we’re travelling back to 2003 for the film ‘…ing’. Let’s take a closer look!

…ing

‘…ing’ tells the story of Min-Ah (Im Soo-jung) a teenage girl who’s sick and who feels lonely in her every day life. At home she only has her single mother who helps take care of her, but at school she doesn’t really have any friends.

Then, one day, Young-Jae (Kim Rae-won), a photography student moves in in the apartment unit below them and they strike up a hesitant friendship. She’s hesitant, he’s giving golden retriever energy and it’s frankly adorable to watch.

Slowly, her life becomes filled with pretty moments, laughter and a lot of snapshots, as Young-Jae takes plenty of photos of her.

Unfortunately her health doesn’t get any better, but through those joyful moments she starts to appreciate her mom more and eventually has a a budding relationship with Young-Jae.

Overall

This was an emotional watch. The story is well-portrayed, has a couple of stunning shots and the movie has a lot of heart to it.

‘…ing’ was written by Kim Jin and directed by Lee Eon-Hee.
