[Review] ARrC – AR^C

There’s a new boygroup in town! ARrC is officially debuting with their first mini-album ‘AR^C’. ARrC stands for ‘Always Remember the Real Connection’. The group consists of seven members Choi Han, Doha, Hyunmin, Jibin, Kien, Rioto, and Jiwoo and is formed by MYSTIC STORY.

We start off with the title track ‘sour & sweet’. This song is super cool! We’re going for sick EDM, sick rap verses and a sick chorus. I’m kind of obsessed with the transitions and the beautiful ‘Aisopos said so’ part.

‘Light up’ is a future synth pop track with a really cool bounce to the instrumentals. I enjoyed the rap verses that even further enhanced that bouncy feeling. I liked the vocal stacking as well during certain sections.

Next up is ‘Shadow’. This was such a wild listen! We’re going for a blend of jazz and hip-hop with a stunning piano line and influences of electronica, Bossa Nova and French pop. Honestly this was a very refreshing listen as I haven’t heard this sound a lot before.

‘Duality’ comes up after that with energetic pop with a bit of a reggae vibe. This is a very interesting combination again and creates a very fun, fresh sound.

The closing track is a remix of ‘Dummywhich originally was released a couple of weeks back.
