NCT Dream is back with their second album repackage ‘Beatbox‘. This release includes four new song and all the bops included in their second album ‘Glitch Mode’.
The dreamies have been taking over the music charts with their awesome music, and fresh style, and we cannot wait to dive into the new tracks in this release. Let’s dive in.
Beatbox
First off we get the title track ‘Beatbox‘, I was already obsessed with this single with the little previews they released on TikTok. This song just got even better in its full length, the old school hip-hop meets EDM concept is fantastic and super cool. The hook is super catchy and the balance of vocals and rapping is amazing.
Jisung’s rapping was amazing, and Chenle’s vocals heavenly. For the music video as expected we get 90s aesthetics, and the members look incredible, the high school setting was adorable. I really liked the intro for the MV, it was super cool and fun to watch. Watch it below.
‘To My First‘ follows up and this song is continuing their “first love” series. This single has and R&B/pop tempo and a smooth musical arrangement. I am always in for harmonisations and as usual they delivered. This track is vocally rich and an amazing listen.
With the single ‘Sorry, Heart‘ we get a sub-unit including Renjun, Haechan and Chenle, needless to say this single is VOCALS at its best. Its R&B/ballad instrumentation makes the lyrical delivery super soft and very emotional. This single is pure emotions with falsettos and flawless ad-libs.
The last new single included in this repackage album is ‘On the way‘, with a retro synth and a lovely mix of R&B and pop tunes. Once again the dreamies killed it with a lovely track packed with delicate and beautifully done vocals, harmonies and a lot of feel. This single is the absolutely cheery on top!
