‘Tomorrow With You’ is our K-Drama Review of the week and it was the first one I watched that had time travel in it and it did not disappoint.
Written by Heo Sung-hye and directed by Yoo Je-won, ‘Tomorrow With You’ tells the story of Yoo So-joon (Lee Je-hoon), a CEO of a real estate company with the ability to travel in time when he is in the subway and Song Ma-rin (Shin Min-a) an amateur photographer.
This story starts when Lee Je-hoon’s character discovers an unfortunate event in the future and he does everything he can to avoid it, and that includes starting a relationship with Shin Min-a’s character.
Throughout the drama you can appreciate the growth of their relationship but, at the same time you can see how Song Ma-rin gives her all to make Yoo So-joon happy whilst he remains self-centered and quite selfish until it’s almost too late.
Shin Min-a delivered a flawless interpretation as usual. She is one of the most talented actresses I have seen and every character that she has portrayed has its own unique colors which I love.
This is the first drama I have watched with Lee Je-hoon, and I really liked his interpretation of the character. Personally though, I feel like the female lead’s acting was beyond incredible and took the spotlight.
The cinematography in ‘Tomorrow With You’ was stunning. The production did an amazing job capturing every single scene. Some of them felt so intimate that I felt almost like an intruder, and that is something that I had never felt while watching any other drama before.
They played so well with the colors in this drama. Every single scene sets off a particular mood with its visuals and I feel like it was planned that way so the viewers could relate with the feeling of whatever was happening that moment. It was something refreshing that I liked and it is also the first time I have seen a drama really playing in that way with the cinematography.
If you are looking for a lighthearted/romance drama make sure to check out ‘Tomorrow With You’, the acting is superb and the storyline isn’t very common in dramas so make sure to at least take a look.
