WEi just released their fifth mini-album ‘Love Pt.2: Passion‘, this EP is the follow up of the era they started a few months back with ‘Love Pt.1: First Love‘. With this release the members are going deeper into the concept of love and passion, whilst showing their growth as artists.

Love Pt.2: Passion
Dance-pop and a lovely piano line start this release with ‘Moonlight‘. The singing in this song is charming, the ad-libs, harmonisation and overall laid back but wholesome feel in the song made for an amazing opening track. We get right into the title track ‘Spray‘ with power tunes and dope style. This song goes all in with hip-hop and EDM, its arrangement is cool, and the singing and rapping fantastic.
For the music video, we get some angsty visuals mixed with rebel vibes, the performance for this song is super cool and the members killed it with their moves. The futuristic concept and the special effects are eye catching and what makes it better is the members’ flawless swag. Watch in below.
With a mix of several genres and an impressive sound ‘Higher Ground‘ follows. I was totally impressed by the mixing in this song. The production balanced the perfect amount of several beats and tracks, and created a hype song.
Next up
Latin tunes and hip-hop beats are present in ‘ROSE‘, I am totally obsessed with the colourful and passionate feel in this song. The rapping definitely stands out in this track, and I loved how the beat changes included instrumental. Definitely a solid b-side.
With nothing but sweetness, ‘Special Holiday‘ plays next to fill listeners’ hearts with happiness. This song is positive, cute and youthful. The vocals definitely stand out and I loved the back vocals and soft flow in this single.
Last on this release is ‘Umbrella‘ with soft-pop tunes and a wonderful piano instrumental. The up-beat soft pop tempo is lovely to listen to, and the emotions in the rapping and singing felt very real.
WEi delivered a fantastic EP, that once again showed their talent in several styles. This group keeps surprising us in every release. We are definitely excited to see what’s next. Listen to this release here.
