Eunhyuk and Donghae, better known as Super Junior-D&E, are back with their sixth mini-album, ‘INEVITABLE’. This album is described as an exploration of various genres, seamlessly connected through its overall flow.
Since their sub-unit debut, they’ve consistently expanded their sound, and we’re excited to see how they’ve reinvented themselves this time. Let’s dive in!
INEVITABLE
We kick things off with the title track, ‘Go High’, which dives straight into hip-hop with intense drums and bass. The flow and style are completely fresh, adding something unique to their discography. Eunhyuk and Donghae deliver an epic bop that’s even more dynamic with its chaotic music video. From Western-style aesthetics to them dressed as scientists, the video embraces a fun and unpredictable vibe. Watch it below:
‘Break’ follows with rhythmic guitar instrumentals and a Latin-pop vibe, contrasting the previous track with romantic, passionate energy that we totally dig.
Next up is ‘Run Away’, a refreshing pop-rock track that showcases a brand-new musical side of this duo. The tempo and slightly enhanced vocals immediately catch the listener’s attention and keep you enchanted throughout.
‘Only You’ blends emotions with R&B, delivering a beautiful tempo and sentimental flow. This track seamlessly combines melodic rapping, delicate singing, and a unique sound that captivates with its power and emotion. The stunning guitar outro is a major highlight.
‘Eau De Perfume’ adds a funky touch with a fantastic bass riff and groovy tempo. This track quickly became our favorite B-side, with its catchy instrumentals and infectious vibe. It’s a total standout.
The mini-album closes with ‘Plausible Theory’, a dreamy synth-pop single that showcases their vocal strengths in a beautifully composed song filled with heart and charm.
Super Junior-D&E delivers a unique and cohesive mini-album, filled with a variety of genres that fit together seamlessly. ‘INEVITABLE’ is a non-skip album, and we’ll have it on repeat for a while.
