[REVIEW] PIXY – Fairy forest: Bravery

The new girl group PIXY is back with their first mini-album ‘Fairy forest: Bravery’. If you want to take a look at the origin of their concept, please check out this really cool animated intro. Let’s dive right in!

Fairy forest: Bravery

We start off with the intro: ‘sgniw ym htiw ylF (Fly with my wings)’. With just over a minute, we catch up on their history and their storyline. It feels like the beginning of a movie with its cinematic, intense feel.

‘Let Me Know’ is the title track of this release. This really cool EDM track hits hard and is super cool.

The music video is stunning and all the girls look beautiful! Also that opening choreo is insane, I love it. The sets are total fire and also at one point literally on fire.

Next up is the track ‘The Moon’. We get a bit of groovy with a mix of EDM and R&B. Their vocals are cool and the whistle makes it hella catchy. The bridge is really dope and makes me want to dance in a club.

‘Greedy’ follows that with more of a pop sound. I enjoyed this one so much. Their vocals take the front seat and are backed with some fun instrumentals.

‘Insomnia’ is a more laidback track with a more acoustic hip-hop vibe. I love the groove of this. It’s dope. The rap verses are cool. When they’re switched off with the higher vocals it adds a lot of dynamicity. It is a straight up vibe.

There’s also the track ‘Wings – 2021 Remix Version’ that is a CD exclusive. The original ‘Wings’ was their debut track.

After that we get the instrumental versions of the title track ‘Let Me Know’ and ‘The Moon’.

PIXY did a really good job with ‘Fairy forest: Bravery’. It’s a fun listen! You can find the album on Spotify here.
